CHALLENGE

This homeowner was experiencing a leak in their two-car garage. They had several contractors out to assess the issues with the leak, and all of them had different answers with none of them being correct. After speaking to a neighbor, the homeowner was referred to RHC to get another opinion.

THE WORK

We diagnosed the cause of the damage from a flashing issue that was found on the chimney, which was the first time the homeowner heard this information. Along with finding and confirming (with picture documentation) the root cause of the issue, we also and always do a full inspection of the property. Upon our inspection we found there was significant damage to the home from both wind and hail. We advised the homeowner of this damaged and recommended that they file a claim with their insurance company.

SOLUTION

Upon the adjustment, the insurance company agreed with our conclusion and payed to replace not only the roof, but a full gutter replacement, the damage to the interior due to leaks, and replacement of window screens that were also damaged by hail.

Its great to walk off a job and not ask what could have been. With our knowledge of insurance claims, RHC was able to subdue what would have been a costly repair and fix all the issues while only paying their deductible.

Terrific experience. Ramsey Furniss came over to inspect my roof and discovered there was wind damage. He felt an insurance claim was justified. He coordinated brilliantly with the insurance adjuster to make sure the claim was properly handled. He also was able to make the justification in the insurance claim for new decking because the old decking was not to code. This is something the contractor who did my roof in 2006 missed. The job went well and Ramsey & Joe (owners) did all they promised and then some. I especially found their crews to be friendly and professional. I would definitely hire them again and am recommending them to my friends.
